HR TRY ANGLE 04: Try Feedback

GIVING GOOD FEEDBACK

Regular, constructive feedback is one of the top five motivators for the two youngest generations in the workplace, who make up more than 50% of most Australian workplaces. Yet most managers are very poor at managing poor performance, and even more reluctant to give feedback for a job well done. Research shows that employees who receive regular feedback on good performance, and constructive feedback on what needs to improve and how, are more engaged and therefore more productive. This module gives you step-by-step processes to develop the skills to do both effectively. It also gives practical examples of what good feedback and mediocre feedback looks like.

The module includes:

  • Giving feedback effectively
  • Receiving feedback
  • Spotlight on the generations...
    • Gen X
    • Gen Y
    • Baby Boomers
  • Mastering feedback
  • When feedback doesn't work
