Avril Receives Global Coaching Leadership Award
Avril was honoured and delighted to receive the Coaching Leadership Award at the 2012 Global HR Excellence Awards, hosted at The World HRD Congress in Mumbai on Friday 17 February 2012. The aim of the Global HR Excellence Awards is to recognise the best of the best, and to benchmark talent and HR practices.
The Jury and Council of Board members of The World HRD Congress conferred the award citing: "Avril's leadership and contribution to the field of HR is well known globally, and the position she occupies in the fraternity is strategic & iconic and as a thinker & doer she is a role model and a believer in change."

As Avril and her team have been the beneficiaries of coaching themselves, they coach senior executives to enhance their leadership, communication and people management skills. Using elements of the GROW model of coaching (one of the most widely used approaches), the DiSC communication styles and the HBDI thinking styles tools, coaching is tailored to three or four key areas an individual needs to work on. We ensure when coaching individuals, that they remain focused on the outcomes and that momentum is maintained both within and between coaching sessions. Each coaching assignment undertaken by Avril has significantly enhanced the management skills of the client, benefiting the individual, the team and the organisation.
